Product Description

For all the IR through-hole LED, the more smaller angle, the more longer emitting distance we will got. That's why the IR SMD LED will got a shorter emitting distance than the through-hole LED. Because all of the SMD LED are 120 degrees emitting angle and most all Through-hole LED will got a angle smaller than 90 degrees.

Normally, the angle of the 850nm Though-hole LED same with the lens's angle will be the best for the emitting result. But it's up to the application scene.

For example: In a passageway, Too much infrared emission angle will directly affect the imaging effect. That will cause the edge imaging is too bright and cannot see the center, so if using the IR through-hole LED in passageway for supervisory control, narrow angle will be a better choose for this.
