3mm 850nm Through-Hole IR LED can be 0.1W, 0.2W, 0.3W, 0.4W ect. Different LED chip will make different watt. If we make the same LED chip in with the same 3mm LED, then the angle of the through-hole LED will changed the emitting distance.
For instance, with the same shape, same LED chip and the same situation, 90 degrees 3mm 850nm IR LED will got shorter radiation distance than the 30 degrees 3mm IR LED 850nm. That means: the more larger degrees of 3mm 850nm LED 0.4W, the more shorter emitting distance we got. So, in order to get the perfect performance in this Through-hole 850nm LED, we need to choose the angle according to the using situation~
