Before 2015 year, most of white led tube was made by 5mm white DIP LED, in order to increase the lighting spot in the white LED and improve the lighting result of 5mm straw hat white LED. Our factory use the bigger reflective cup and bigger LED chip. That's why our straw hat white through-hole LED also have bigger lighting spot and bigger lighting area that others. As we know, Yellow LED was made by yellow LED chip, red LED was made by red LED chip, then what about white LED? Is it also made by  white LED chip? The truth is: No. Actually, we used blue LED chip to produce this white LED, after we put this blue LED chip into the reflective cup, we will add phosphor powder to change the color.
