5. As we know, sometime, we can't see the IR LED with our naked eyes, then how do we know if the infrared LED can work or not? 

850nm LED can't be like that normally colorful emitting light diode, if the testing current too high, the 850Nm IR LED will be damaged by this current.

Under the 10K resistor, connecting the black cable to the anode of IR LED and the red cable to the cathode of the IR LED, The measured forward resistance should be 20 ~ 40K normally. Then we changed the side, which is connecting the black cable to the cathode of IR LED and the red cable to the anode of the IR LED then The measured forward resistance should up to over 500K.
